I set up these pages to video diary my time in Europe in my motorhome. There will also be footage of my interests elsewhere in UK. The image hear is of one of my 5" gauge Locomotives. I am a member of GL5MLA ( Ground Level 5” Gauge Main Line Association ) Our web site is https://www.gl5.org check it out.
This is my fifth motor home so am well used to being a nomad visiting many places in UK and Europe with my wife.
This is a Fiat Ducato commercial base vehicle typical of majority of most motor homes.
Note the large tailgate door that was the main reason I bought this vehicle so that I could load my railway models and other things straight in the back. Also do not need big vehicle now.
This vehicle has been well travelled in UK and Europe with my Daughter, Son in Law, two Grandchildren and my Wife who has sadly died of pancreatic cancer.
This is one of the negative things when you own such a large vehicle. Since the wife died and the grandchildren have grown up my Daughter and Son in Law do not come with me which is a relief from the wear and tear on the vehicle. Hence the reason I have 2 berth vehicle now.
Maybe after taking grand children to Disneyland Paris for the day.
This is Waldenburg that is frequently in use at my society track that I am a member of, https://caldecotteminiaturerailway.co.uk . We have a miniature railway track where I run my engines, it is located at Lakeside Grove, Milton Keynes MK7 8HP. The loco is a scale model of a Swiss 750mm gauge 0-6-0 owned by one of our society members. The full size loco can be seen at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, Switzerland.

A little story here, had been on a camp site at Tarascon - sur - Ariege. During the night there was a horrendous storm, as I left in the morning I noticed it had been snowing lightly. Carried on towards the higher ground and noticed the hillsides seemed to be getting more covered in snow, then a Snow Plough overtook. I followed for some distance with snow getting deeper. Suddenly snow plough stopped. I was stuck behind a row of cars putting snow chains on, I now had no traction so had to reverse for about a mile before I could turn around. This road is too narrow to turn large motorhomes, took 12 hours to get into Spain by coast road route.
More views of snowy hillsides

La Coupole, Facility the Germans built in Northern France to manufacture V2 Rockets to Bomb England in the War, luckily RAF used Tall boy bombs to severely damage facility before it could be used. Now a Memorial Museum to prisoners who died there on the construction you can go right inside under that dome where there is a lot of historical exhibits.
